quadriparesis
Partial paralysis in all four limbs.

An animal such as the horse that walks on all four limbs.
Quaternary
Quaternary. (4) Geology. Of, belonging to, or designating the geologic time, system of rocks, and sedimentary deposits of the second period of the Cenozoic Era, from the end of the Tertiary Period through the present, characterized by the appearance and development of human beings and including the Pleistocene Epoch and the Holocene Epoch.
Queensland itch
Commonly encountered skin disease of horses, caused by an allergic reaction to the bites of midges belonging to the genus Culicoides; also called sweet itch.
quidd
To drop partially chewed feed material from the mouth.
quittor
Chronic inflammatory process of the collateral cartilage of the coffin bone, resulting in an intermittently discharging wound that develops on the inside or outside of the hoof over the collateral cartilage, following an injury, usually on the front legs. Lameness may be intermittent, varying from mild to very severe. A quittor may result from calk wound, a neglected corn, which festers and works up through the foot, a “ gravel” ( abscess) that works from the bottom of the foot to the top of the coronet, etc.
