What is colic and what are the symptoms?
In the layman's term a colic refers to a bellyache; mostly caused by irritation, bloating, or blockage of the intestine, including a twisted intestine. The common symptoms include sweating, frequent lying down and getting up, pawing, in young foals kicking, general restlessness, nipping at the belly, decreased eating and water intake and in manure output.
